What a pleasant evening. We brought our puppy to the event and she turned everyone’s heads. She is apparently the cutest thing ever. I can’t say I disagree, she does seem to be blessed with an extra gene for cuteness.

Our set went incredibly well. Amber told a couple dad jokes (an addition to our banter that I suggested) and the audience received them very well. We socialized with other musicians afterwards. Some of the people who grew up with the Great American Songbook actually thanked us for our set; it brought back memories for them. That was very special.

We also learned of a few other open mic nights around the area that we weren’t aware of. We’re planning to play at them as soon as we’ve got a feel for their culture. Keep an eye on the Schedule for when those events come around.
